Hello guys welcome back to my new blog so today we will discuss about muscle tissue and its type . This is a important topic according to many exams . So without wasting your time let get start So firstly we know that what is muscle tissue so the muscle tissue or muscles of the body form the contractile tissue and are made up of muscle cells . Muscle cells are elongated and large sized , so they are also called muscle fibre. The movement of the body or the limbs are brought about by concentration and the relaxation of contractile protine which are present in muscle tissue. So here the introduction of muscle cells are end . Now we discuss about the type of muscle tissue or muscle fiber , so there are three type of muscles tissue , first is striated muscle tissue, second is smooth muscle tissue and the last one is cardiac muscle tissue. So let's go to read one by one, firstly we can discuss about striated muscle
Striated muscle tissue--
Striated muscle tissue is also known as voluntary, skeletal , or striped muscles. Since the entire muscle fibers show alternate dark and light strips , they are called striped muscle. Since they are attached to the bones and are responsible for body movements, they are called skeletal muscle and lastly since these muscle work according to our will, they are called voluntary muscle. Now we came on the function of these muscle-- so the first function of this muscle is it is powerful and undergo rapid contraction , these muscle can get tired and may need rest . 5he second function of this muscle is that striated muscle provides the force for locomotion and all over voluntary movements of the body.
Now we came on the second type of muscle tissue that is smooth muscle-- Smooth muscle are also known as utriated muscle , voluntary muscle and visceral muscles. Smooth muscle occurs as bundles or sheet of elongated fusiform or spindle shaped cells or fiber . These are held Together by connective tissue . Each muscle cell is enclosed in a plasma membrane. There is a single centrally located cigar shaped nucleus in the centre of cytoplasm or sacroplasm. Delicate , contractile threads called myofiber runs longitudinally through out the cell . These fibers do not bear any bands , strips , or stations across the muscle hence , it is called smooth or untriated muscle. Now we know that what is the function of this muscle smooth muscle do not work according to our will, so they are also called involuntary muscle. Movements of food in elementary canal, opening and closing of tube are invoduntary movement. The second function is smooth muscle contracts slowly but can remain cotracked for the long period of time. Due to this fact, smooth muscle causes the characteristics peristaltic movement in the tube. Peristaltic movement are the rhythmic progressive wave of the muscular contraction and relation. Such wave like peristaltic movement occurs in the gastrointestinal tract and male genital tract. And the third and last function of this muscle is that, in some organs smooth muscle contract through out the organ to produce extrusion movement as in the urinary bladder, the gall bladder and the uterus.
So now we came to cardiac muscle
-- Cardic muscle show characteristics of both smooth muscle and striated muscle. Cardiac muscle are branch of composed fiber and the branch joined to the network . Each fiber or cell is surrounded by sarcolemna, a cytoplasm with a longitudinal micro fiber and a centrally located nucleus. The intercellular space of cardiac muscle are filled with abundant loose connective tissue supplies with blood capillaries. Cardiac muscle contract and relax rapidly , rhythmically and tiredless a life time. They contact endlessly from early embryonic stage until death. The contraction and relaxation of the heart muscle help to pump the dispute blood to various part of body .
