Hello guys today we will discuss about tissue culture so without wasting your time let get start
Tissue culture-- The production of new plant from a small piece of plant tissue are cells remove the from the growing tips of a plant in a suitable growth medium is called tissue culture it is also known as micro propagation.
The growth medium culture soluction used for growth plant tissue is very important in this process because it contains various plant nutrients in the form of jelly and plant hormones which are necessary for plant growth the process of tissue culture for producing new plan is carried out of follows-
1. A small piece of paper of plant tissue is taken from the growing point of the plant and placed on a strile jelly which contains nutrients and plants harmons. The harmons make the cells in the plant tissue divide rakitally producing many cells which form shapeless lump of mass called callus. 2. The callus is then transferred to another jelly containing suitable plant harmon which stamulet to callus to develope root. 3. The callus with developed roots is then put on a yet another jelly containing other harmon which stimulated the development of shoots. 4. The callus heaving roots and shoots separates into tinny plantlets , in this way , many tiny plantlets are produced for just a few original plants from a cell or a tissue. 5. The plantlets thus produced are transplanted into pots or soil where they can grow to form a mature plants
.
Advantages of tissue culture-- 1. Tissue culture is a very fast technique. Thousands of plants are produced in a few weeks time from a small amount of plants tissue. 2. The new plant which are produced by tissue culture are disses free.
